We want as many people as possible to be able to come to Core. Here’s what you need to know before you book.

Access arrangements are different at each venue. Check the venue’s access guide as well as the information on your ticket.

If you need an adjustment or want to talk through your visit, get in touch before you book if you can. We’ll speak to the venue and give you the clearest information we have.

COMPANION TICKETS

If a venue offers an essential companion ticket, its application process will be listed by the venue or ticket company.

STEP-FREE ACCESS

Access is different at each venue and between rooms in the same venue. Read the venue-by-venue wheelchair information below before booking.

SENSORY NEEDS

Core is loud and some shows use flashing lights. We strongly recommend ear protection. Ask venue staff if there is a quieter area.

The Art School

Fully accessible
  • The main door is at pavement level and is 117 cm / 46 inches wide.
  • There is a lift available. The lift doors are 90 cm / 35.5 inches wide. The lift is 110 cm / 43 inches wide by 140 cm / 55 inches deep.
  • The festival will be operating across three levels of the building.
  • Basement — bathrooms: there is one individual unisex accessible toilet cubicle on the basement floor and one on the second floor, with level access and handrails. The doors on both are 89 cm / 35 inches wide. The transfer space is to the left-hand side and measures 79 cm / 31 inches wide by 193 cm / 76 inches deep.
  • Ground floor — The Vic Bar: flat entry via doors that are 90 cm / 35.5 inches wide.
  • First floor — Main Hall, also known as the Assembly Hall: flat entry via doors that are 90 cm / 35.5 inches wide.

  • The ground-floor bar has a small step at the entrance. Ramp availability is to be confirmed.
  • The ground-floor bar has accessible seating options.
  • The basement venue is reached by a staircase and has no lift.
  • Ambulant toilets are available in the basement.
  • The nearest wheelchair-accessible toilet is on the ground floor of 1990.
