FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

THINGS PEOPLE
ASK US.

WHAT’S THE ENTRY POLICY?+

We’ll publish the full entry policy closer to the festival. Bring your ticket and valid photo ID where required, and check the information sent to ticket holders before travelling.

WHERE ARE THE VENUES?+

Our venues are in Glasgow city centre - all within walking distance of each other.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TICKET TYPES?+

You can buy a full weekend ticket, which gets you access to all venues on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; a Saturday + Sunday ticket; or a day ticket, which gets you access to all venues on that specific day. You still have time to utilise the payment instalment plan for your tickets.

HOW DO I GET THERE?+

Being in the middle of Glasgow, there are an array of options to get here. If you’re coming from further afield, the venues are within walking distance of both Queen Street and Central train stations, and Buchanan Bus Station. Within Glasgow, our closest Subway station is Cowcaddens, and there are multiple bus routes that stop on Sauchiehall Street, Bath Street, Buccleuch Street and Cowcaddens Road. There are also several e-bike hire spots nearby.

IS THERE PARKING?+

For general parking, there are on-road options around the venues, and multi-storey car parks at Q-Park Bath Street and Concert Square Car Park on Cowcaddens Road.

For accessible access, there are disabled on-street parking options near all the venues.

WHAT TIME DOES THE FESTIVAL RUN?+

Stage times and door times will be released closer to the festival, but in general, Friday night’s programme will run from around 6pm til 11pm, with Saturday and Sunday’s from 1pm. The main stage bands should be done by around 11pm, but there will be some bands on a bit later - and on Friday and Saturday there will be afterparties that go into the early hours. Keep an eye on our socials closer to the festival for exact timings.

WHAT ARE THE AGE RESTRICTIONS?+

Age restrictions can vary by event and venue. Please check the specific ticket listing before booking.

WHERE CAN I BUY FOOD AND DRINK?+

Each venue will have bars you can buy drinks at. We will have coffee and refreshments at the Garnethill Community stage. Otherwise, we’re bang in the middle of Glasgow city centre, and there are dozens of food options within minutes of each venue.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD OR DRINK?+

Each venue has its own policy, but the main rule is you can bring your own reusable water bottle, and shop-bought sealed packaged food. Medical exemptions apply.

CAN I BRING A CAMERA?+

You can bring point & shoot and disposable cameras in. If you’re looking to take in an SLR with a detachable lens, you’ll need to contact us first and arrange a photo pass.

CAN I LEAVE AND RE-ENTER?+

Yes - Core is a multi-venue festival in the centre of Glasgow, so you are free to come and go from venues.

I HAVE A DAY TICKET, BUT I’VE DECIDED I WANT TO UPGRADE TO A FULL WEEKEND TICKET. CAN I DO THAT?+

Yes - we can do upgrades for you at the festival box office.

HOW DO MY BAND APPLY TO PLAY?+

If you want to send in your music, please do - but we genuinely get hundreds of applications every year to play the festival or shows. We try our best to listen to everyone who sends us their stuff, but we can’t promise we’ll get to your band. If we don’t get back to you, it’s no comment on your music - it’s because we don’t have enough hours in the day!

CAN I BUY BAND OR FESTIVAL MERCH?+

We host an independent market at the festival, where you can buy merch from the artists playing, as well as Core. festival merch, plus a whole load of other stuff from makers, artists and organisations. Info on this will come closer to the festival. The marketplace will be open to the public; you won’t need a ticket to visit. You can also buy festival merch year round on our website.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR PRESS/PHOTO ACCREDITATION?+

Email press@corethefestival.com with your request, your outlet, your proposed coverage, and any examples of previous work.

HOW DO I APPLY AS A TRADER OR SELLER?+

Drop us an email at hello@corethefestival.com with info.

IS THERE A CLOAKROOM?+

It depends on the venue. We’ll include cloakroom details in the information we send before the festival.
